This year Decorex Johannesburg was bigger than ever, occupying every hall at Gallagher Estate. Once again we were invited to decorate the designer spotlight stand. We collaborated with designers Sam Lurie and Peter Gordon of Sprout Design to create an award-winning stand!
Following the strong tropical theme that’s trending right now, Sprout created a dark, sexy and seductive indoor and outdoor space that showcased their characteristic relaxed luxe living style. The team used layers of pattern and texture to create a rich tapestry and an inviting, cool and uber sophisticated space.
The palette was influenced by the vibrant jungles of South America and an ongoing fascination with nature. The dark backdrop created a bold statement on its own and a wonderful foil for the jungle greens, teals and glamorous rich golds. Sprout Design stuck to their trademark affair with linen, which drinks up these vegetable colours, and works so well when combined with velvet and plaids.
The annual St Leger & Viney sale was held on the 23rd – 26th July 2014.
Alongside our discounted indent fabrics and our much loved local fabrics, we hosted a number of haberdashery stalls including handmade frames, ceramics, glassware and accessories. Thank you to all of you who visited us and made it a successful event.
