Wallpaper is commonly sold by 10m rolls and the widths can either be 52cm, 70cm or 100cm wide. Some suppliers’ wallpapers e.g. Thibaut and Anna French, are supplied in different configurations and these will be specified in the product detail. You will need to take the pattern repeat into consideration when calculating how many rolls you will need. It is wise to purchase an additional roll if the budget permits. This will come in handy if any mistakes are made in installing or in case of future damage.
If you are unsure about the colour or design of the wallcovering as it displays on your device, you can click the “Order a Cutting” option on the product page. Samples can be ordered at R50 per sample. You will be credited for up to 3 samples if you do decide to make a wallcovering purchase on our site.
We have provided an easy-to-use wallpaper calculator to make this process easier for you. Simply enter the width and height of the area you wish to cover, and our calculator will provide you with the quantity of rolls you will need to order for your project. Should you still need assistance with this please email us at onlinesales@stleger.co.za. It is important to include your wall dimensions and the name/reference of the wallcovering you are looking at in your e-mail. We will get back to you with the number of rolls you need.
Our online wallpaper store is equipped with an easy-to-use filter function where you can search all our wallcoverings according to brand, collection and design name. Try filtering on colour, pattern, and type of wallcovering if you are needing further inspiration.
Each wallcovering will be ordered from our suppliers abroad and is not held in stock in South Africa. We offer a 10-15 business day turnaround time. This could differ from time to time and is dependent on supplier stock availability. Your expected delivery time will be confirmed within 2 working days from receipt of order.
Because we are importing each wallcovering for you specifically it is not possible to cancel the order once it has been dispatched by the overseas supplier. Once you have received your order confirmation, and provided expected delivery is within our quoted turnaround times, then cancellation is not possible. In the case that you need to cancel the order before receiving your order confirmation, please contact us immediately to see whether cancellation will be possible.

Non-woven - Its main advantages are air and vapour permeability (the wall beneath is protected from mildew growth), firmness and light fastness. It offers good heat and sound insulation and remains dimensionally stable. Working with non-woven wallpaper is easier than other types of wallpaper.

Vinyl - Vinyl wallcoverings are popular because of high durability and easy maintenance, wipeability, colour fastness, scratch protection and partial thermal insulation. It can be applied to various surfaces, e. g. plaster, concrete, drywall or formica. It is effective in covering small cracks and is well suited to high traffic areas.

Grasscloth - Grasscloth is a handcrafted wallcovering of interwoven exotic grasses. As a natural and modern wallcovering, grasscloth adds much desired warmth and texture to your home. Besides adding texture, grasscloth also absorbs noise and covers any wall imperfections. As with any natural fibre, colour variations and visibility of joins are amongst the qualities of grasscloth wallcoverings. Please consider this when ordering as St Leger & Viney will not be held responsible for natural colour variations and visibility of joins.
The repeat is the number in meters or centimeters, marking the length or interval after which the wallpaper pattern repeats. The repeat is important in calculating the required amount of wallpaper. When you hang the wallpaper, you can position the strips of wallpaper next to each other, aligning the pattern vertically, or you can shift the pattern repeat in exactly half its length on the next strip. A longer pattern repeat means higher consumption of wallpaper.
